MYSTERY OF VISOKO PYRAMIDS
Bosnian Pyramids in Visoko is a half-day tour from Sarajevo to the enigmatic Pyramids of Visoko.
You may have heard whispers of the Bosnian Pyramids, unearthed in 2005 by Bosnian archaeologist Semir Osmanagić. But did you know that these ancient structures are said to dwarf the Egyptian Pyramids in both size and age? What secrets do they hold, buried beneath layers of time and skepticism?
This half-day journey from Sarajevo to Visoko delves into the heart of this captivating phenomenon. You will encounter conflicting theories and studies surrounding these mysterious formations, as not everyone accepts them as genuine pyramids. Yet, undeniable clues emerge: immense cement stones hinting at a civilization that thrived over 30,000 years ago. The truth, shrouded in mystery, remains tantalizingly out of reach as excavations continue.
-PYRAMID OF THE SUN
Our tour begins with a visit to the most prominent pyramid in the valley — the Pyramid of the Sun. Towering at over 270 meters, it stands as the tallest pyramid in the world. Its geometry, eerily precise, boasts three preserved sides: north, east, and west. Encased in rectangular blocks of a concrete material that tests show to be of a quality superior to modern-day concrete, the pyramid’s origins and purpose beckon us to question everything we think we know. Hidden beneath its dense vegetation, you will catch glimpses of these remarkable blocks, silent witnesses to an ancient story waiting to be told.
-TUNNEL RAVNE
Next, we descend into the depths of the Underground Tunnel “Ravne,” a vast labyrinth weaving beneath the Bosnian Valley of the Pyramids. This network of tunnels, intersections, chambers, and water reservoirs hints at a forgotten architectural brilliance. During the guided exploration of the largest tunnel complex, you will discover extraordinary findings and hear about its purported healing powers. Could these tunnels be remnants of an advanced, lost civilization? Or do they serve some otherworldly purpose?
-VISOKO CITY CENTER
After our subterranean adventure, we return to the surface to explore the historic streets of Visoko. The town’s charm provides a stark contrast to the enigmatic structures nearby. As the journey concludes, we recommend a relaxing meal at a riverside restaurant, where the tranquil flow of the Bosna River provides a perfect backdrop for pondering the mysteries unveiled during the tour.
Step into the unknown and uncover the secrets of the Visoko Pyramids. Are you ready to embrace the enigma?

Estuvimos encantados con Lejla. Nos transladó de un lugar del país al otro con un tour incluido y todo fue perfecto. Explicaciones precisas y rigurosas combinadas con humor y simpatía en un día muy largo que se nos hizo corto.
