DETAILED ITINERARY 📝
What we see
-YELLOW FORTRESS
-WAR MONUMENTS AND SNIPER ALLEY
As we make our way from the city center to the Tunnel of Hope, we will pass by key war monuments that mark Sarajevo’s wartime history. You will see the Catholic Cathedral, which was bombed during the war, and Market Markale, a site of two tragic massacres, including one where 68 people lost their lives. We will also visit the Memorial to Children Killed in the Siege of Sarajevo and the Building of the Presidency, which stood as symbols of resistance and resilience. Along the way, we will stop at the Bridge of Olga and Suada, the site where Sarajevo’s first civilian victims were killed, and drive through Sniper Alley, a street infamous for being exposed to deadly sniper fire for four years.
-TUNNEL OF HOPE
The highlight of the tour is the Tunnel of Hope. After a 30-minute drive, you will arrive at this iconic site that played a crucial role in Sarajevo’s survival. Built in secret by the Bosnian Army, this tunnel connected the besieged city to free territory, enabling the transport of food, medical supplies, weapons, and people. As you explore the preserved section of the tunnel, you will learn about its construction and operation, as well as the incredible numbers of people and goods that passed through it. The museum at the site offers a rich collection of original videos, photographs, maps, and artifacts from the war, all of which our guide will explain in detail.
-RETURN TO CITY CENTER THROUGH EAST SARAJEVO
After spending about an hour and a half at the Tunnel of Hope Museum, the tour concludes with a drive back to the city center through East Sarajevo. During this part of the journey, our guides will provide insights into the current political situation in Bosnia, offering a broader understanding of the country’s past and present.

Posted on agustina iruleguy16 June 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
