This tour also includes a visit to the Yellow Bastion and several important war monuments, providing a comprehensive view of Sarajevo’s resilience and courage during the war.

-YELLOW FORTRESS
Our first stop is the Yellow Fortress, an Ottoman fortification that offers the best panoramic view of Sarajevo. Here, our guides will introduce the events that led to the Fall of Yugoslavia and explain how the Bosnian War and the Sarajevo Siege began. From this vantage point, you’ll see the strategic locations of the Republic of Srpska Army during the siege and one of the largest defenders’ cemeteries in Sarajevo, adding context to the city’s wartime struggles.
-WAR MONUMENTS AND SNIPER ALLEY

As we make our way from the city center to the Tunnel of Hope, we will pass by key war monuments that mark Sarajevo’s wartime history. You will see the Catholic Cathedral, which was bombed during the war, and Market Markale, a site of two tragic massacres, including one where 68 people lost their lives. We will also visit the Memorial to Children Killed in the Siege of Sarajevo and the Building of the Presidency, which stood as symbols of resistance and resilience. Along the way, we will stop at the Bridge of Olga and Suada, the site where Sarajevo’s first civilian victims were killed, and drive through Sniper Alley, a street infamous for being exposed to deadly sniper fire for four years.

-TUNNEL OF HOPE

The highlight of the tour is the Tunnel of Hope. After a 30-minute drive, you will arrive at this iconic site that played a crucial role in Sarajevo’s survival.
